She started the firm in 2018 after a long, diverse career in the investment and financial services industry that has spanned more than 35 years. Giving Back

At BD8 Capital Partners, we care deeply about giving back to the communities in which we live and work. We do so in various ways – through philanthropy, volunteerism, advocacy and service. We are active supporters and participants in a number of non-profit organizations.

For example, our CEO, Barbara Doran, served on the Penn State University Board of Trustees for nine years and is now an emeritus trustee serving on University’s Endowment Investment Council and both its Finance and Academic Affairs Committees. She also chairs the board of MCC Theater, a major off-Broadway Theater in New York City. She serves as Treasurer and former board member of The Explorers Club in New York, as well as Treasurer and board member of Catwalk, an artist residency program in Catskill, New York.
